Hello Scholars and Parents-

We are thrilled about our upcoming summer of Hudson Scholars! We cannot wait for another four weeks of learning, relationship building, engagement, and fun! The first day of the program this summer is Monday, July 6th!

What to Bring Each Day:

  • The Hudson Scholars shirt must be worn everyday

  • Backpack

  • Pens and pencils

  • Change of clothes for PE

  • Water Bottle (we will be providing water bottles for each NEW Scholars on the first day)

  • Sunscreen

Daily Schedule Sumer 2025 (will provide updated 2026 schedule shortly

Every day begins at 8:15 with homeroom. After homeroom, each grade continues with their own
schedules until the day finishes at 4pm.

Bus Location and Schedule

  • Below are the times for the bus pickup and drop-off.

  • Please be waiting at the bus stop 5 minutes before pickup time, as the bus cannot wait for late students.

  • The buses will drop students off in the afternoon and will not be able to wait for parent arrival. If you are picking up your child, please make sure you are there 5 minutes before the drop off time. Thank you!

Morning Pickup

Bus Number 1:

  1. First Stop: 7:40 - 177 White Plains Road

  2. Second Stop: 7:45am - Transfiguration Church

  3. Third Stop: 7:52am - W.L. Morse School Parking Lot

  4. 4th Stop Stop - 7:55am - Outside of CVS (on North Broadway)

Bus Number 2:

  1. First Stop: 7:45am - Washington Irving School (parking lot behind the school)

  2. Second Stop: 7:49am - Dunkin Donuts (parking lot near the train station)

  3. Third Stop - 7:52am - Outside Saint Teresa’s Church (on Beekman)

Afternoon Drop-Off

Bus Number 1:

  1. First Stop: 4:10pm - 177 White Plain Road

  2. Second Stop 4:15Transfiguration Church

  3. Third Stop: 4:20pm - W.L. Morse School Parking Lot

Important Dates

  • Tuesday, June 30th | 6:30pm at Hackley: Orientation for all new Scholars (parents and child should attend)

  • Monday, July 6th: First day of Hudson Scholars!

  • Thursday, July 9th | 5:30pm: Ice Cream Social for all Scholars and their families at Hackley.

  • Wednesday, July 15th: 6th Grade Scholars to Broadway show (Scholars will be returning home late, around 6pm).

  • Thursday, July 16th: Friday, July 17th: 9th Grade Scholars overnight at Taconic Outdoor Education Center (https://parks.ny.gov/environment/nature-centers/3/details.aspx)

  • Friday, July 17th:

  • Friday, July 24th:

    • 7th grade Scholars will take a trip (location to be determined)

    • 9th grade Scholars will visit two local college campuses

  • Saturday, July 25th | 8am - 2pm: Hudson Scholars Community Day- 6th and 8th grade Scholars should make sure to be available for this fun event.

  • Monday, July 27th | 6pm: Middle School and High School Success Information Session. All parents and Scholars are highly recommended to join.

  • Thursday, July 30th | 5:30pm: Graduation Celebration for our 9th grade Scholars and families

  • Friday, July 31st | 5:30pm: Ice Cream Social for all Scholars and families

  • Friday, July 31st- Saturday, August 1st: Overnight campout at Hackley for 6th grade Scholars only.
